Congratulations. Hey, did your Dad make a deal where he'll pay for insurance as long as you maintain your weight :-) ?

Congrats on achieving your goal man! Thats a great story! I also like how you acknowledge that your probably spoiled, thats a good sign. I was much the same way, still am. I am 25 and have had 9 vehicles, I had a brand new mustang within 2 months of turning 16, I have always realized that I was very fortunate (spoiled, if you will) and appreciative of what I have. You just have to make sure you remember that your fortunate and that its not what makes you who you are. What I am getting at is there is a big difference between being spoiled, and being a brat about it. In your case, you probably worked harder in losing the wieght and maintaining it than most of us do working to earn the money to pay for our cars, so congrats to you!! Keep up the good work, and be sure to set further goals to help you maintain your weight were you would like it... Maybe talk the parents into halfsies on wheels in another year?!?!

Thanks for all of the positive replies! They are pretty similar to the ones I got on my350z. One thing that I admire about myself is my desire to achieve goals. I don't know why people would come online and say that their parents bought them a car just because. Especially as a 1st or 2nd car. At least I got mine for a reason, mabye not the best reason but still I think this happens more with the 350z because its more of a sports car, and less expensive than the G but anyways. I'm glad I went though with everything, the entire ordeal has made me find out what I am capable of in life.

Good job keeping it up or down in your case. I am sure your dad worries about your health and will do anything to keep you healthy. My dad will never bet any thing like that with me because he looses at the beginning, I am always under 160.
