Hey all! Long time lurker here, first time poster. First, I want to thank all of you for the great info you share...I surfed the site for some time and it all contributed to my decision to buy my 07 G35x back in April and (not to mention my minor mods)...I've never enjoyed drivng so much!!! An issue I've had for a while but haven't done anything about and haven't seen any mention of on here involves my music box. When on Random aka "All Playlist MIX" it seems to dispproportionately play songs from a Jay-Z cd I ripped. I do believe this was the first cd I ripped to the hard drive and notice it also seems to more frequently select songs from my earlier rips. I have about half of the HD filled. Does anyone else's Music Box play favorites???
I plan on having the dealer look at it soon, as I also have an issue with my FM radio stations not properly cycling through the presets. Anyone with this issue? Perhap I just have an electrical issue, but curious if anyones in the same boat with me!

I have pretty much the same issues with about half a dozen songs that no matter what "random" does, it just keeps hitting. My experience indicates that it has at least something to do with the type of playlist you are on. In particular if I go by artist it seems to pick a song from each artist randomly, but doesn't seem to include the number of songs from that artist in it's sample size. The result is that it picks, for example, a Pearl Jam song (which there are hundreds) once then cycles back to artists that may only have one song, which as far as it's concerned is random. However, what I hear is different artists every track but the same single song over and over with a different PJ each time.

If, however, I set MusicBox to play by album things get mixed up a bit more, but I still hear the same songs with greater frequency than I'd like. Coincidentally, I am now at a point where those artist without full albums or just singles are going to get deleted, and on a longer trip I have to use the iPod for fear of tearing apart the dash...
