How do you work the clutch pedal without your heel on the floor? That must be very fatiguing on your thighs, and it'd be extremely difficult to hold the pedal steady or have full control on the amount of force you apply. I had a friend who had to do that, but she is 5ft tall, and the pedal travel in the Miata she practiced in was super long.

I had Mazda all-weather mats in my Mazda6. Same problem: a tear/hole where my left heel touched the floor.

Yeah, I understand the benefits to using winter mats in the winter. Maybe you get more Summer snow in Canada then we do. When it's dry and hot, why would anyone prefer an unattractive rubber mat on the floor of their G? I think rubber mats look beautiful when it's snowy, but when it's not put in the cheap factory mats and you are set. Once they get some wear pop for a $100 set of upgraded carpet mats.

I'm using the same A/S mats I had in the coupe - they are almost 4 years old now and no signs of wear. The coupe was 6MT so there was a clutch too...

I bought a set from weathertech for my maxima and switched them over to the G ( same interior color). The driver's mat is just now starting to get a tiny hole after 6.5 years of daily use.

Doh! I though you meant that A/S mats are useless in the summer and therefore worthless in the winter. I agree that carpeted mats look much better but they wear out very quickly.

My receipt says parts and accessories are guaranteed for 1 year, so I'm taking mine back.
