New G35 S Driver - Just sold my Evo 9

Hey guys

Just wanted to say what up to all'ya'll. I had an Evo IX GSR for a year, it was very fun to drive and I kinda went nuts with modding it. After a while I kinda grew tired of it as a DD car and wanted something more luxurious and comfortable...so I went with a new 07 G35 S and I'm loving it. It doesn't really compare to the precision and speed of the Evo, but it's pretty damn respectably fast and luxurious on top of that. I wish it had a little more torque than the 268..but I will defintely enjoy it for the next few years.

congrats bro...hope you enjoy it. Evos are definatly sick cars for what they are, but def lack in the luxo refinement department. Yea the G def does move, but it could 100% use some more torque i feel you on that 100%.

Excellent - I almost went the same way, was seriously looking at an EVO IX before I bought the G. But I don't regret my choice

THanks guys. Yeah the EVO was really fun, but I definitely didn't like the cheap interior which is lame for a 32-36K car. It felt like i was in a sports car 24/7 -- well cause i was. It was really stiff, I felt every hole and bump and it just got annoying to have a stick in bumper to bumper traffic. If I could have afforded it, I would have kept it and got my G. For the weekend or the track, the Evo is great, but in DD/comfort/luxury/easy drive, the G shines brightly. I test drove the 335 sedan before I got this and was more impressed with the G.

I'm kind of itching to mod it but there's nothing that really jumps out at me as necessary...From what I've seen, you don't get too much hp gains from the stilllin intake or exhaust mods. Maybe thats good, cause most likely I won't touch my G in any serious manner, just the ipod adaptor when its out and the spoiler I bought which I still need to get installed...but where?

I too came from the evo 8. A few reasons why I did the switch

1. My wife can not drive the evo, stick shift. We have a Sequoia to drive our two young sons around town when my wife goes to work. I don't want and will not put my sons in the evo.
2. I am looking for side airbages
3. The G has stability control

I miss my evo now. It was fun but with my two young sons safety is every thing. The G has plenty of speed and power, but the evo is the evo period.
I don't care much about luxury staffs and comfort things that came with the G, but it nice to have for almost the same $$ as the Evo. I am waiting for Evo X with paddle shift. That paddle shift thing reminds me of the G35S and my wife can drive it too.
