Blackjack

Anyone else have a Blackjack paired with the G35x 07? I do, and it works pretty well (with auto connection pop OFF) except the signal strength always shows no bars on my LCD even though I have signal on my cell. I've had the Blackberry 8700 and Curve before this and never had this issue. Anyone else have a blackjack and experience same issue?

Also, beaming the contacts via Bluetooth only works for one number. For example, if Mike has a work, cell and home number, I can only send the entire contact on the phone, but the car only accepts the first number listed in the contact. I wish there was a way for the car to accept an entire contact, but it breaks it up into home, office, etc. I can't download the entire phone book since I don't have Nav.

mbhforum,

I also had a Blackjack Phone paired in my G35S. I was really disappointed that neither the signal or battery strength is displayed on the car's screen. But the one thing that really irritated me was the poor sound quality (from the phone - not the car). It literally sounded like I was talking in a tunnel!

I also have a company issued Blackberry 8700 that is paired with my G, and all the indicators are displayed and the sound is really clear.

My solution was to return the Blackjack to Cingular (AT&T) under their 30-day full return policy. In exchange, I got a Blackberry Curve which works flawlessly. It shows both the signal and battery strength indicators on the screen and the sound is crystal clear.

For whatever it's worth, now I know why certain phones are not included on Infiniti's approved Bluetooth listing.

Regards,

At least I know it's not my car. I haven't noticed a drop off in sound quality though from the Curve to the Blackjack although yesterday I did have an echo once which I never had before.

I had the Curve previously and actually still own it. However, I can't see forking over $40 for data plans compared to the $20 for the Blackjack data now that my company doesn't pay the bill. I do miss the Curve.

Blackjack works Great

I've had no problems. Also have an 06 G and they both work great with good sound and reception.
