Ordering an '07

Is it too late to order an '07? I'm pretty sure it is but thought I'd ask.

That's a good question. I am really not sure if Infiniti still has the 07s on the production line or not. I would think that production on 08 models would be starting quite soon. The best thing to do would be to call your local dealer and ask them.

When I was shopping for my car, I was told that any August orders would be 08s.

I highly doubt ordering an 07 will be a possibility as of right now. You can find many 07 sedans on dealership lots though.

I was actually able to order an 07 two Sunday's ago. The dealer said the actual order date was August 3rd. I won't take delivery until October when the new 08's come in also I don't know if that helps you or not.

What would be the reasons to order an 07 rather than 08 other than a small price difference? I'm ready to order an 08 and was also told that August orders would be 08.

Ordering question

If it were me I'd wait if I could for the 2008, if you absolutely have to have a G35. Hopefully, they will work out some of their problems.

The only real differences between the '07 and '08 sedans are: standard XM satellite radio, Infiniti iPod interface, and driver's audio stage added onto the BOSE system. The price differences between the two years should be very small (aside from the additions).

I wouldnt think you would need to order an '07 at this point. The dealer should be able to locate any color/package combination you could possibly want. Am I wrong here?

Depends on what you want. I had to order mine only because they couldn't find but one in the US with the exact options I wanted and it was in Cali. Basically I wasn't willing to pay the extra money to get it here and they weren't willing to eat it. I would think at this point though that the selection would be pretty broad so you could get one if you were somewhat flexible.

thats the problem- -- locating cars is still hard b/c there are only so many cars out there.

Yeah, thats the point I was making. When you ordered yours they were a lot tougher to find than they are now. There was a very large selection (probably 30ish) on the lot when I took my car in for an oil change a week or 2 ago...

Oh they had about 15 or so on the lot but they didn't have anything with the exact options and color combination I wanted. That's what I mean about it being dependent upon what you are looking for or what you are willing to be flexible about.
