Tire maintenance reminder/tire pressure warning

hey guys, I'm at work and I'm nowhere near my manual and with no luck using the search tool, can anybody explain the difference between getting the tire pressure warninig and the tire maintenance alert... obviously i know the tire pressure warning is letting me know about the psi in the tires and all, but i mean the difference between the actual warnings/alerts/displays...

let me explain; today i'm about half way to work and i'm at 7616 miles or so and on the red center display (between the gauges) my display changes to a picture of a tire and wheel and it says "tire maitenance" and on the bottom the option to close out that window with an "exit" feature (very similar to when the oil change reminder popped up with a small picture and description) -- now i've never seen the tire pressure warning before but i'm assuming that if ever came up it would specify "tire pressure" when it appears, correct?? well if that's the case then what is "tire maitenance"?? the tires are wearing pretty normal, is this just one of those pre-set reminders to do a tire rotation or something?? should i be concerned? let me know, i'll be here for the next 8 hrs lol i just wanna make sure i can drive home like i normally would -- you know, like mario andretti

Not to worry about those reminders in the red center area, that is just a pre-set reminder you are talking about. It is the same as setting the oil and filter change reminder there in that center red display. The dealer probably set it. You can set it to what ever you like with the two switches on the right side of your gauge cluster. You can also just cancel it and not put any reminders.

The TPS symbol located to the left is a warning that your tire pressure could be low on one of your tires, and you should check the pressures.

Also, the TPMS warning will come up on the RPM gauge, the maintenance warning will come up on the LCD screen.
