I have this piece of plastic sitting on my car seat... and I don't know where it came from.. I drove a few people and the next time I came out to the car it was sitting on the passenger seat... but I don't know where it goes? is this even a part to my car?

It's a very thin soft flexible piece of courogated plastic, and has felt pads on it. it seems like it clips on two sides and spans a gap of some sort that opens and closes between 0-2 inches... any thoughts?

Looks like part of your sunroof.

It's the part involved with the TSB & sunroof.

That's your sunroof curtain... it's a known problem. The dealer has replacements for them that fixes the problem.

Mine has come loose before, but it's never actually fallen OFF.

Yep, it's just the sunroof finisher....nothing major. Mine fell off and landed on my right should while I was driving and scared the **** out of me. I put it back on and it's been fine ever since....and that was about 3-4 months ago. Just tilt your sunroof open so you can get a look at how the one on the other side fits into place. It shouldn't take you any longer than 30 seconds to put back.

It's part of the flux capacitor.

is there a date where the G's stop having this problem, b/c i rarely drive my 07 G (~1-2 times a week) and i've only had it about 1 month and haven't used the sunroof. So what do that makes it come off? use the sunroof or use the vent?

LOL good one!

On a serious note, I had the my sunroof take a crap on me in a dark parking lot as I was leaving a night class. The damn thing scared the crap out of me. I thought it was a dead bird that just $hit the bed....

That thing fell on me when I went for my first test drive on the week end of the launch, and the one on the right side falls off everytime I use the sunroof in my X.

This crap is dangerous. I can't imagine the wheel jerk I'd make if this thing came down on me while driving....
