I have figured out how to set "City Center" as a destination using the controls, but I can't figure out how how to enter in "City Center" using the voice activation for those times when I don't want or don't have a street that I'm going to. I'm assuming this is something simple, but I've looked through the book, and I've sat in my car talking to it like a bumbling idiot for 20 minutes trying to get something to work. It would seem obvious to have it "Destination City Center" but that doesn't work. Does anybody know?

 

hell, you're one step ahead of me. i dont even know how to enter city center as a destination using the controls. guess i havent really taken the time to mess with it. good luck on your quest for voice commands.

 

I don't think you can do it with voice commands... just like a ton of other stuff.

Same thing with setting waypoints... you can only set waypoints when you're looking for POIs like a gas station, then you're prompted for "along route or nearby". If you actually want to schedule a new destination as a stop halfway through your trip, you have to stop the car, edit the route by hand and add the waypoints.

 

If you hit DEST then select the next page, you can do a whole bunch of other stuff, including intersection.

 

i just say garbage and pick anything from the list of streets provided. gets me to that city
