i actually have this on my nav and the size fits alright.
it's not too big, it's not too small. It's just the right size.

as for the glares, yes it does glare (a lot more than without it.)
just from a look of it, the film has a shinny surface.
it cannot NOT have glares.

it doesn't bother me much.
i'd rather have my screen protected than having the scratches all over.

just to avoid the confusions, the one i have is this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Navig...mZ260165810904

i bought from this seller and he ships FAST.

I got it, just have no time to put it on yet.. Probably this weekend. I'm not too worried about it being too big, I will just pull off the trim, put it on and then put the trim back on... Now too small will be a problem. Should have time on Friday to slap it on.

Wouldn't something like a clear cling material be better? It would be easy to remove if need be, keep in mind, a lot of film like this will get scratched over time, even from fingertips, so it may need to be replaced. Is the screen sensitive to touch through a film?

I guess I don't get it. If you are a guy at least it is unlikely you will get anything other then grease from your fingers on the screen that you can clean off. What can scratch it other than nails and or jewelry (I guess if your wife is using the car I understand).

I received a sample of the 3M Vikuiti material that UPS supposedly uses on their LCD signature pad. I got as far as making a few test patterns out of paper on a computer controlled cutter. I'm still trying to size it so it can be easily removed after it is installed. That means leaving just the right amount of clearance from the bezel so you can get your nail in there to pull it off.

My goal is to get photos of installation and removal.

I installed it this weekend, turned out to be a little smaller than the screen itself by a few mm on each side. Hardest part was getting it on straight and without any bubbles.

Does it affect the touch screen at all, or is everythign working as normal? How is the glare?

Then again...not sure why I'm asking. A few mm short around the edges would bug the living daylights out of me.

I'm guessing the space is to make it removable when the time comes. Plus there is nothing in the GUI to touch that close to the edge of the display anyway. I guess it too difficult to "re-do" if there are bubbles caught underneath?

I dont know if you guys are still looking for a proper sized protector screen but I just recently purchased this one off ebay.

I am in no way affiliated with that company.

The size is almost perfect. There is less than 1 mm of space on top, at first I thought it was going to be too big but once it got to the bottom, it slide into the bottom portion of the case surrounding the monitor. I don't think i can remove it again. It is really an almost perfect match. I can try to take a picture but you can't really see the edge of where it cuts off unless you really try.

Buy it cheap here:

http://www.stickercity.com/store/home.php?cat=2224

I used this as my "invisible bra" and its the same material they use to cover ipods, phone screens, etc in www.shieldzone.com. Really strong material for protection yet usable in touch screen gadgets. I've covered the front end of my car, my ipod, my phone, and all my watches.

i got the clearguard thing and like the other guy said its a pita to install and it screws up easy so forget that.. seldom touch teh screen anyways unless entering addresses and i just make sure I duntuse my nails. I just press with the flats of my fingers, should be good enough to prevent scatches.. and i clean with some good lcd screen cleaner and microfiber cloth meant for screens.

Well after a year of trying the stuff out on my own car ... I'm happy with the results.
