iPod integration for 2007 G35

Anyone have any more info about the 2008 ipod integration working with the 2007 model year? I called the dealer and they didn't have a clue

Still waiting on someone to say something about that. It'll be one of the first things I get for my G. Trying to tint the windows next month too

I was at the dealership last friday and they gave me a flier about an Ipod integration kit. I specifically ask if it worked for the 07 and they said that for the 07 it would be completely integrated with this kit. It was about $550.

Yeah if you can scan that you need to let us know. Is that $550 purchased, or $550 installed?

I would like to know this too. When I went to the dealer last week they said no integration will be available for the 2007.

Yeah, he said that was including installation. The flier is at my house and I'm at college so I can't scan it right now but when I go home you got it. If it helps this was at Lake Norman Infiniti in NC. On their website it has a brief comment in the service section about the kit. Here's the link. I hope this helps.

I guess that means my dealer wasn't telling me the truth.

They're probably just misinformed. Dealers tend to just say "no" when they aren't sure.

I just called Lake Norman Infiniti in NC. I spoke to the parts guy and he told me they have install the QX56 Ipod kit into the 07 G35.

Here are the part numbers he gave me:

Gateway unit part # 99U7VR003, price $175.00
Wire harness #1 part # 999U7VS000, price $36.00
Wire harnedd #2 part # 99U7VS001, price $36.00

I asked to speak with a service tech that has installed one in an 07 G35, but they were too busy to talk. The parts guy told me it had been done several times. Steering wheel controls will work.

I did not order the parts. I thought I would wait until someone actually has installed this unit and reported back on the board.

I hope this helps...

what about this?

I would much rather have the factory one but this seems like a fix for now.

isn't that the same kit that jersey parts (?) or someone like that is selling that a few people have already installed and tried out? If so, last I saw they weren't sure that it would actually work with a nav unit and it's not really fully integrated like the '08 stuff.

IDK if you saw post #11 but it turns out that the iPod integration kit that dealer is selling is the one for a QX56. When used in a G35 it does not have all the functionality of the iPod setup in an '08.
