front passenger seat belt tensioner rattle
I am bringing in my car to the dealership this Friday for a number of things -
1. oil change
2. cruise control TSB
3. i-key replacement
4. heated seat TSB (I'm having them take a look at it again; it was done but doesn't seem to work at all)
5. rattle from rear driver's side window only when the window is completely up
6. rattle from front passenger seat belt area (resembles a tiny metallic rattle/buzz). I can confirm that it is definitely not the seat belt buckle.
Re item #6 above, I believe some ppl have mentioned that the cause is a loose seat belt spring tensioner or something like that?? I searched but couldn't find a definitive thread. Can anyone pls elaborate on this issue? I'd like to know what to say to the service guy. Thanks!

Check the top of the seatbelt height adjuster, there is a release in the form of a cap, which is tensioned from beneath with a spring. In my vehicle, the spring was weak and allowed the cap to vibrate on certain road surfaces.
If you gently tap on the top of the housing, you will probably feel the lack of tension and hear a faint rattle. Compare to your driver's side unit.
The dealership was reluctant to fix this, stating that "they all do it". I simply asked them to order and replace the part.
It was fitted yesterday and my engine management system reprogramed... no rattles and a "new" new car
