Throttle lag Question

New owner (for 2 weeks now) with an old question...

I've noticed, over the past several hundred miles, a lag in acceleration from at rest that has developed. It takes a second for the car to respond when I try to let her open. When I first picked up my G....it did that "lurch" that everyone talks about that smacked my head into my headrest (btw, it was a feature I really liked about the car). Now it seems this has gone away. Is the ECU "learning" my driving style? Because I want that original G back! lol.

From the searches I did of this topic, I know it's been covered in the past, but I couldn't find any post of recent discussion on it. As you can see from the number of posts, I'm brand spanking new to the forum so forgive me if my question is a rudimentary one.

I did buy a car that was previously a demo (approx. 500 mi) on it and I know people were likely treating it, well, like less than a lady.

Would it help to reset my ECU to get the original feel and response back?

Thanks.

Resetting the ECU fixed this in my 2k3 Maxima, also with throttle-by-wire.

i heard from a few 07 owners and infiniti workers that the 07 sedans do indeed have throttle lag. i also noticed the throttle lag when i was test driving an 07. supposedly they fixed it with the 08.
