It's only $40 here.... and you never have to pay it again as long as you keep the same plate every year.

 

+1, that's the only reason I don't have one already. Our annual 'tag' fee is only about 70 bucks, I think. Not sure, my lovely wife usually takes care of those bills.

Thats probably why VA has the most personalized plates in the US, I just have generic ones with a VT licence plate frame.
