The only reason you get the fin is for XM, nothing else.

Guys, the kit will be shipped to my tester car this weekend, so pics wont be ready until next week sometime. However, if you're in the San Diego area or nearby and wanna get it now, I'll offer a discount in exchange for some pics. Get my installer Ryan to put them on this weekend and I'll give you a discount right off the bat! Email me if interested.

*NEWSFLASH* 07' sedan navi is hard drive based.

I guess the shark fin is an option if this guy just said he has XM and a regular antenna???

News UPDATE you still need a positioning antenna. How else would it know where the heck you are?

Secondly, why on earth would anyone want to do this to their car?

Correct but the positioning system is internal and has nothing to do with the XM antenna.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! "NEWSFLASH, I've got bad info to tell you" - that's hysterical.

Guess the internal Nav just uses mph and compass direction to plot

actually....yes. the system records the speed you drove and the direction you went ever since the day you left the dealership. read your manual...it is on page 769.
