Lights flicker when Slip light comes on

Have you guys noticed that when the SLIP light comes on the dash and the traction control kicks in, the HID's actually flicker? I noticed it a few times now when out in the snow in the early morning when it's dark.

I noticed that last night a couple of times. It was almost always when I was turning and the adaptive lights were turned. I don't think I noticed it driving in a straightline at all.

I thought I thought I imagined it, but that would make two of us . I'll have to go into some forced slips tonight to see if I can reproduce it reliably.

Yea it has happened to me once. I was taking a turn onto my street which had fresh snow and so my car drifted a bit. The VDC kicked in and I remember my lights flickering a little, not a lot.

mines does it, its only because the tires are spinning on rough ground and is shaking the car so the lights vibrate

VDC sucks power from the +12 and makes the lights dim. I've noticed it on my x.

It occurs when the road is smoot has well. The only way to tell you are spinning is with the tach and the slip light.

I thought it might be a power draw issue from the VDC.

Maybe you need to get your alternator checked?

Yup. It also proves that VDC is never really off.

Last night I was doing some *ahem* traction tests on snow with VDC off and the lights dimmed in concert with the slip indicator, especially during turning/sliding moves.
