but if you aren't going to be playing around in your car, then don't get the sport. even if you think the sport seats are uncomfortable, they are very functional in holding you in place and not sliding around. i played around in a non-sport model and hated trying to hold myself in place as i made aggressive turns
I'm sorry, but my G is used for more than racing. So you go to the track a lot, do you?Originally Posted by CoppellStereo

LOL, Wayne! In my case, I just like the added support, it's not like sitting on the couch, not that the Journey seats are that................Originally Posted by GEE35X

Yeh, but we all know why you need the Sport seat Tom. To keep you planted when you are blasting out the tunes with Jim Morrison and the Doors Originally Posted by ABQ_G35

I'm also going to probably buy a G35XS in next couple of months. Can anyone here post a picture or a link to pictures of the G35 interior with the sports seats???
I small 5'7" 185lbs so I'm pretty sure I will be comfortable. But hopefully before I finalize a deal I can try one for size.

Nevermind I found them.

The Infiniti website has tons of G35 interior pigs and most of there are showing sport seats.
The brochure has some good pics and also labels them so you know if it's a sport model or not.

It contains both an inflatable bladder and metal plates. See this G37 thread:Originally Posted by ABQ_G35
Oh, and I don't think there is a piece of metal involved, it's like a balloon in there that tightens and loosens the bolster.

This is why even when fully deflated, the thigh bolsters still feel very firm compared to the journey's thigh bolsters which do not have the metal support brackets.

Okay, guess that makes sense, but the plate are obviously on the outside edge of the seat, not against you. One thing to keep in mind, it' also helps to use the thigh extension, that is a vital part of the seat performance, that's a great feature. That said, I find these seats like 200% more comfortable than the seat in my '05, which was okay, but "loose".Originally Posted by AlterZgo

The sport seats are amazing to me! i love them! I guess it all depends on your frame to but I'm small, so I love how the seats hug me. I guess the seats work better for us females

My thigh supports don't bother me at all now and I'm 5'9" and 230, not exactly svelt! The key for me was moving the seat back further so my legs are straighter. I move the wheel closer to me and have the car adjust the steering wheel as I exit so I can get my portly butt out of the car and everything fits fine.

+1. I am 5'9" and 253 so I have a wide frame as well. The Journey was easier to get into but the sport seat holds you in place better, like it is designed to do. I have no issues with it and would rather have a snug fit than slide around during "spirited" driving.Originally Posted by DRIP
