24,000 km service - necessary?

I will be bringing my 07 G35x for an oil change tomorrow, and the dealership stated that I am due for a major maintenance service now (24,000km). They said it would cost around $400 and include brake line check, 'engine shampoo', wheel rotation as well as standard oil and filter.

This sounds to me like it's not really needed - and quite expensive. I am thinking of just asking for the oil change (expensive enough at the dealership).

IF I don't do these major scheduled maintenance and just stick to oil changes will I be voiding my warranty or putting my car at any significant risk for breakdown?

"Skipping" the 15k service should be fine. Unless you run your car super hard or something.

I skipped my 15k mile service (I think) since it's pretty much a waste of money. If you really want to get it done, goto a Nissan dealer. Same work for less money.

Cars these days are made to be driven, I think less and less cars are having problems in the early ages. For our cars, I wouldn't really worry about anything until the 50k mile mark upto 100k.

I've had my car since May 31st and I'm gonna be needing the 30k service soon.
