FWIW, the salesman at the dealership advised me of the change prior to my purchase, and I could have purchased an '08 with the old version of the voice recognition, but my wife didn't like the colors of the ones that it was available on.

It's too bad that some of these software upgrades/downgrades are not available for modification for a nominal fee at customer request. Of course a free download that you could do yourself would be best but I imagine Infiniti would want to avoid hosed ECU reflashes.

I thought I remember while trolling threads while entertaining the thought of buying a Volvo before the G that they allowed a person to get some software modifications made at the dealer for a nominal fee.
