Slip, AWD, ABS, VDS lights on
Slip, AWD, ABS, VDS lights on
First, I've had my 2008 G35X for a week now, and absolutely love it.
A couple of days ago all the above lights came on while I was driving. I had just hit a pot hole, and I think it came on after that. I pulled over right away, and turned the car off, then back on. Once the car was started the lights did not reappear. I didn't hit the pot hole too hard, and I didn't notice any difference in the handling of the vehicle, so I figured it was just a fluke?
Anyway, tonight on my may home from work it came on again. This time I had just gotten off of the freeway, and was on a surface road sitting in a left turn lane. Things were pretty snow-covered, so I clicked the snow option on. After negotiating the left turn, I notice the slip light is on, and figure "wow it must be slippery", I let off the throttle, and it's still on, that's when I notice the AWD, ABS, and VDS lights are on too.
At the next light I turned the car off, and on again - same result, all the lights stay off. Again, I didn't notice any difference in handling, but I didn't try to lose the back end, or lock up the wheels.
Anyone else run into this???

Where can I go to look-up TSBs?
I looked on the http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/ site, and didn't see anything.

had this prob in my 04. low fluids and or need for for new pads cause the systems to choose between ABS and VDC/Slip. Abs always wins in this scenario and sends the vdc/slip into FAILSAFE mode causing lights to come on. WHen engine restarts, it resets, until brakes are used and problem of some sort, like low fluid , is detected and it does it again. WOrn pads use more fluid - system thinks is is low. Or just low fluids... either way, check fluids and pads,. WIllling to bet a top off of fluids will remedy the problem. It did mine.

Posted this in a few other threads, hope thats not an issue....hopefully someone can help. Slip, VDC off, AWD, and ABS all came on during normal driving. Have stayed on for a day now. 2005 G35x with 30,000 miles....
I have stock wheels/tires on the car so OD should be the same...
brake fluid levels look fine, close to maximum.
What else can i do before i bring it in? Where is the brake sensor located? how do i reset my ECU and will that have any negative effects? Is it my front brakes?
I bought this car used at a honda dealership but should still have a standard infinity warranty, should this be covered?
sorry for all the questions guys...

This happened to me on my last car (VW R32). I had hit a pretty serious pothole. What it turned out to be was the alignment. The VDC sensed that all 4 wheels were not moving at the same speed.
The neat thing about the VDC system is that it also sensed one time when I had very low tire pressure in one tire, due to a nail. Saved me from having a flat on the side of the road, and/or having to buy a new tire. The car didn't have TPMS.

Whoops i forgot to respond to this thread..
After having the BRAKE SWITCH replaced, i am HAPPY to report, i have not had a reoccurance again!!
It used to light up every other day resulting in me having to pull over and restart the car. I have tried everything including hammering the brakes, ripping acceleration, and I cannot get the lights to shoot out again.
therefore, PROBLEM SOLVED!!
