I was set on buying Liquid Platinum until I saw a 2008 Desert Platinum G35S in person. Great color, much deeper and more "flake" than LP. It looks silver at some angles and more bronze in others.

Here are some quick, amateur pictures of DP that I recently took. I did not buy this particular car because it had a defective leather seat and was represented as a "new" car with 90+ miles on the odometer.

Jeez, where have I been? For some reason I thought SS was simply renamed to DP. Learn something new everyday.

I do. It's a great color...especially when pared with the wheat interior and rosewood trim.
