Loaner Question

Hey guys. Got a problem with my baby, albeit a small one. When i am driving, the car occasionally tells me that my ebrake is on. If i stick the toe of my shoe up behind the ebrake lever (automatic transmission) and "poke around" a little bit, it goes off. Going in Saturday to Ray Catena Infiniti in Edison, NJ.

Well, the service isnt my problem. I happen to be going out of town (driving) this weekend, and they are telling me that if they cant fix it right on the spot, that they will give me a loaner. When i purchased the car, the sales guy said "the perks of buying an infiniti include premeir service. Such as, if your car ever has to come in for service and you need a loaner, you will get an infiniti." Now thinking about it, thats vague, no? I mean, they could stick me in a 94 Q45. haha.

Anyone have experience with that dealership, or any loaners for that matter that can let me know what ride to expect leaving the dealership with as a loaner?

Thanks all.

it will most likely be a 2007 G sedan(base model). Infiniti's been giving me the 07 sedan for quite some time now.

I think each dealer has their own contracts... I know of no such mileage limit on the contract at the dealership I've gone to. As for loaners, I'm always given a G35X Sedan, twice an '06, once an '07, and always a base model.

I also find it really nice that all of Infiniti's warranties/customer perks are transferable to any owner. I'm the 3rd owner of my coupe, yet the powertrain warranty is still good for its duration, and I receive loaners everytime I get service done.

Most likey you will get an 07g35x base sedan or an Fx35(request). As far as mileage I never heard of them restricting your mileage, but as someone stated each dealer is different.

P.S. They want the car back in the exact condition it left, meaning whatever damage it left with it comes back and also the same amount of gas you left with you come back with.

good to know. thanks for the quick replies guys. How is the FX on gas compared with my 07 G x? I really have fingers crossed that theyll give me a base or journey, to see what i think of the non-AWD, b/c it will be a possibility for next time. I have never driven high power rear wheel drive cars more than a few scattered times. I would love to get to flog it a little bit.

Never been limited to mileage, but you can't leave the state & you have to bring it back with the same amount of fuel that you picked it up with.

Have you checked the brake fluid?

its not brake fluid. its the sensor on the ebrake that tells the light in the tach to say BRAKE. thats all it is. brakes are perfect, ebrake still engages and disengages perfectly. Its just a faulty microswitch in my professional opinion.

Can't leave the state? Interesting... I live right on the border of DC and VA so it's no surprise they didn't limit me to in-state - simply wouldn't be practical.

Whenever I have to take mine in I drive to NYC from CT. They don't have the out of state thing and I am not limited in mileage.

My dealer gives me no mileage limit. They only request that I add no fuel. The car will be a g35x, but you can request an FX or an M if available.

Request a fully loaded EX and park in every place you can just to try out the all around view thing...
