Anyone here see the $4500 cashback incentive offered by Infiniti in Canada which started today?

How does a cashback exactly work? When I "build" online a G35X I do not see any rebate deducted?

Thanks in advance.

Probably not.. all prices online are MSRP that doesnt ever change, unless they change the MSRP, rebate, cash back and such.. all happens "in store".

Btw you would still be saving TONS of money if you bought from the US I did.

I bought from the US as well, and I'd recommend you go that route as well the process is straightforward

Did Infiniti Canada transfer your warranty over?

There wasn't much information in the paper this morning as to how the credit is applied. Is this just for cash purchases, or is this applied to all new 08 G35 X Sports?

If it's on leases as well, Infiniti may have just won my business. I've been on the fence about whether to get into a new one, and $4500 would make this car VERY favourable against the competition!

If I get a minute, I'll drop by my dealer today to get a breakdown...

Is it possible for a Canadian to get financing in the USA? I thought you had to pay cash outright to purchase a car and bring it back?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I am in Edmonton, so I am not very close to the US border either...

Nopes I paid cash do not believe in financing anything, and theres no need to transfer any warranty, the dealer will know how to file warranty claims it is still maintained by Infiniti US, I have had no problems, thats the least of the issues. Infiniti you can bring across the border no issues diff story with Nissan btw you have to register and deregister the car etc.. whole lots of ****.

I have no idea why people lease LOL I guess I just like owning everything i have 100% the idea that it is technically not mine.. bugs me But if you do lease make sure you do not put any money down.. or get bogged down by fees...

It's been running since the beginning of February.

$4500 off for CASH purchase

$2500 off for FINANCE or LEASE

This is a FACTORY incentive ON TOP of any discounts you negotiate with the dealer (there's ~$4000 room there too).

This is for *ALL* G variants.

Ok this is bizarre.

Dealers can make a ton off the finance charge spread... I don't know why they'd want to give more incentives to come in with financing from a third party.

Still this is good news for me... Not getting a new one for a while, but I want my dealer to be hungry...

IT is $2500 off for finance/lease (ie, $2500 is taken off the lease value when calculating payments), or $2500 cash back? There's a huge difference between the two on a lease.

The $4500 promo on the G35X states "cash back", which is not the same as a discount.

PS - Leasing is for those of us who (a) want a new car every few years and (b) can write a portion of the payments off our taxes.

They aren't too clear about how it comes off, but it's a $2500 discount off the price of the car when they do the paperwork. It's a discount.

And you can deduct 52 cents/km if you choose as well and are not leasing.
