Since you're even asking the question, you already know the answer. Which is also the one most people here have given you.

For insurance, it's always a good idea to check rates with your company before buying a new car.

I don't see how you can afford it...

I am 19, live with my parents and I make 3200/month after taxes for 8 months now and I've been putting 1400/month away ever since I've started working and I am STILL a little too scarred to pull the trigger. I got quoted 250/month for insurance and calculated about 350/month on gas + the car itself to LEASE will cost 800/month for me. I know I am in Canada and we get raped here, but with your current salary I still just don't see it. Don't you have other expenses like clothes? I blow a good 1k/month on random ****.

haha yea...only reason why i was looking into this is because at fedex im guarenteed to make no less than 1g/month since they have a minimum pay.

anyways thanks for everyones insight on the matter...definately have to think harder about this.

@one_hertz: dont really have many other expenses..i kinda have 2 jobs, and work at macys so i have no real problem getting clothes cheap, of the current amount i make right now, almost everything is saved after paying for car insurance and gas

1. wait till you graduate.

2. you will not qualify for a car loan without a cosigner. Sorry to burst your bubble but I'm just being realistic.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying that. They qualified me just fine without any cosigners and with a decent rate.

Everyone's circumstances are different.

From the information provided, he simply does not qualify for a G35 unless he has a MASSIVE down payment.

He is a first time buyer as far as the banks are concerned, and has a relatively small income, and does not work full time.

To the OP:
Now this is one thing that I DO know a lot about here on this forum. Im in a VERY similar situation to yourself, always been financially independant, bought my own car by myself, just three years older. I am in the process of polishing off school, Ive now been working for the Boeing company for about six months now and make good money, and Im searching for my dream car, an 08 G35s sedan.
Why am I not driving it, you might ask? Its JUST NOT FEASABLE from my point of view. Even if I put down a 20K down payment, bringing my monthly down real low, you have to remember about insurance. The CHEAPEST insurance I could find, with minimal required coverage for me and an infiniti, is (keep in mind I dont have as much as a fart stain on my driving record. NOTHING) $1100 for a 6 month term.
So when you tally it up: car payment, insurance, gas (these cars want the best and dont go easy on it. Just look at the pump prices right now to boot!), Im looking at $500+/month just for a car. To me, even when Im making almost three times of what you are, its just not worth it to me. I dont want to stretch my money that thin and I dont want to dig myself into a financial hole for this car.
You have plenty of time in your life to drive a lux/sport car, do you really need it right now? Whatever you choose, just dont hold yourself back from having your share of fun at this fun time during your life because you're working your *** off to pay for a car. Dont let the car be the reason you cant go out and have fun with your friends. Infiniti will be around for a long time

You currently own a 2006 Corolla and assuming your driving pattern hasn't changed significantly over the last couple of years, it probably has less than 20K miles on it. It may not be your dream car, but it is affordable and reliable transportation (and it's paid for) which is what you need at this point in your life.

Finish school, get a good full time job, AND put another 50K to 70K miles on that Corolla. Then buy your dream car. The 2013 G should be awesome!

thanks for allll your opinions guys. reading what everyone has said has really made alot of sense. ive decided not to buy a g35 anytime soon, but may consider it if the g37 sedan comes out and the dealers start clearin the lots of the g35's. i only work about 10-12hrs/week to make my current pay so i have pleeennnty of time to hang out with friends and do my own thing

and i currently have 25k miles on my corolla. i was planning on actually keeping it if i were to get a g and drive it to school and use the g for going out/weekends

but really thanks for all the insight.

If I were you I would not do it.

Just keep saving till you get out of collage.

There will always be a time to buy a car. Why would you want to work your a$$ off just to afford a car. Save up the $ that will give you a good start up fund when you get out of collage. You can pick up your dream car later. Don't let the dream car ruin your other dreams.

that's my Opinion.
