Replacing an Intelligent Key

I only received one Intelligent Key when I bought my '08 G35. What are my options for buying another? I also need the Valet key for the glove box and pass through lock in the back seat. Is ordering one from the dealer my only choice?

I believe you should have received two iKeys. I did. I assume that's standard. One key has a bronze latch on it, while the other just silver. The key for the glove box and pass through is a part of the iKey. There's a latch on the back of the key that releases that key. It's hidden in the fob.

did you buy your car from the dealer?? I believe you should have received 2.

Your best bet would be to call the dealer....give them your registration information so that they verify you really own the car...and they will give u a new key (or you bring it to them so they can reprogram)

i THINNNKKK a new key is about $300

I was quoted ~$150 for a new iKey from the Infiniti dealerships in Houston.

They're very similar but yes, one is bronze and the other is silver.
This is so you can visually determine which fob is for driver #1 and which is for driver #2.

my dealer told me one was titanium and the other silver.... I don't think it's dark enough to be bronze...

My dealer told me it was bronze. But I agree. It's not dark at all. You have to juxtapose the two keys in good lighting to even notice a difference. There's a very slight difference as stated above.

After reading this post I checked my key fobs and sure enough, there is a slight color difference, but it is very subtle. I had to add the Mt. Fuji charm to one of mine to tell them apart.

Duh!!! Thanks bro. I guess you have to be smarter than the "Intelligent Key" but I'm glad to have one of my problems solved. Thanks again.
