I have a couple of those for my G. The CF reader is OK. I usually just put my iPod Video in the armrest though (as a lot of my music is AAC, and purchased from iTunes)

Yep. I would get a 8-1 reader so it will work for other types of memory cards as well. I got one online for like 8 bucks I think. It was ages ago though.

You can find them but going to CircuitCity.com and search for memory card readers.

I don't think it matters much really. I mean some will have faster write times but I didn't really care about that. I bought the cheapest one I could find online that would read Compact Flash (for my G) and SD (for my digital camera). Those ones seems a little expensive. You should be able to get one for around $10 online somewhere.

No problem. If you a search in the tech section I would imagine you would find a lot of threads regarding the CF cards.

Compact flash cards are a little dated. They were one of the first formats and due to their large size relative to other card types, are becoming used almost exclusively in cameras. They have faster read/write times which makes them good for cameras.

Anyone try playing videos to the LCD screen through the CF card yet? Is it possible?
