Will I be charged penalties when I return lease car because it's wrecked & repaired?

I have a leased 2008 g35 that sustained $21,000.00 damage. If my insurance company has already repaired it correctly and professionally, Will I be charged any penalties when I turn my lease car back in because it was wrecked and repaired?

Since I have repaired this car already, the resell value might be lower than the residual value. If I return the g35 until the end of my lease. Would they charge me any penalty fee or any fee for diminishing the resell value?? Thanks your help.

Well,

insurance companies very rarely pay for diminished value so why should you?

No, they wont. When you lease a vehicle, as long as you return the vehicle in good condition (no dents, dings, or scuffs) and acceptable normal daily wear, you will be fine.

$21,000.00 damage? Shouldn't that have been totalled?

Yah $21,000 is a lot of damage dude. Did it get a rebuilt title or something? That wouldnt be right to buy an off lease car and find out its been in such an accident.... Then again theres always CarFax which is not so accurate....

My buddy had a brand new TL and hit the center median avoiding an animal (so he says). It was over $20k in damages. Basically, the insurance companies look at the cost to repair, cost of rental, cost of liability down the road, and then look at the cost of replacement. It'd cost closer to $30+K for the insurance company to replace it. Fixing the TL for $20k was more cost-effective. It sounds like the same case here. If the car was three years old, it'd be a different story, but brand new, $21k is a lot cheaper than a new car.

PS - You should be fine when returning the car, especially if the major non-body work was done by an Infiniti dealer.
