6Spd Post Master Cylinder Recall - Creaking Noise at Top of Clutch Play

I've had the recall for about 3,500 miles and maybe 500 miles ago I've got a weird creaking noise at the very top of my clutch pedal. Perhaps just the spring needs lube but I find it odd to have it happen at less than a year old and only 12,500 miles.

Anyone else experience this?

Yup! i had that craking sound soon after i bought the car, took it to the dealer twice, and NO LUCK!
Finally i went to pepboys bought a can of "Deep Creak" spray can and LIBERALY sprayed the return spring on the clutch assembly and all gone!

9months and counting!

Cool, I'll throw my bike chain lube on there and see if it helps (and how long it lasts).

Bring back an old thread in my search for the creaking clutch. How has the lube been holding up in regards to the creaking noise?

Is it indeed a lube issue or something bigger?

Hey thanks for the reply. I'll have to go out and get some of this stuff and post up my results. A lot of people are having this issue and seem to link it to the slave/master clutch cylinders all the way to tranny replacements!
