Need an opinion quick
Ok here's the deal I am going to be getting a 2008 G35x and need help. I am wanting to get a Platinum graphite w/ graphite interior (or blue slate) with the Nav/premium/sport packages. The problem is the dealer doesn't have any on the lot. So because they dont have any on the lot they would have to get one from somewhere else. They are telling me that because they have to get it they aren't as flexible w/the price. So my question is, is the sport worth jeopardizing the 2.9% financing that is available until the end of the month. They have a couple w/o the sport on the lot and said that if I got one of those they could come down a little more on the price ( I think its all a bunch of crap myself). The other issue is I wont be able to get to the dealer til monday to finalize anything and they said thats too late to get one from another dealer. HELP!
To sport or not to sport? That is my question

Yeah I was seriously thinking about getting the TL type S about a month ago and they didnt have the color I wanted and said I needed a $500 deposit to order it. Two days later I got a call and they had one in stock, but thank God my wife wouldn't let me get the car until we had a few things worked out. I would look at every G on the road and regret getting the TL

The Tech package looks to be pretty sweet. I needed to get mine by Christmas 2007 when I get it. I had to wait over a month to get the one I got. I really wish I could have gotten the Sport, too much snow here for that though (especially with frequent trips back home to Canada in the winter).
The OP should wait and get the XS. I would have waited to get that car it is was available last year.

Yeah, get them to give you the best price on their car, then call around and find who has the car you want on their lot, tell them they need to make a deal to beat what you have on their car, of course, dont let on to them that you ABSOLUTELY want their car... tell them your not overly worried about the sport package, but you would upgrade into it if they were to give you the deal your looking for... etc etc. GOODLUCK!
Like everyone else said though, don't settle!

cool thanks for the help guys. One more question the last number we were working with when I left yesterday was 39,250 thats with nav/prem/sport and 3m coating on the front(have to get it in the NE). Does that sound like a good deal? I looked up on edmunds and it said that others were paying 38,665 w/o the 3m and they say its 695 to do that so basically I am getting $100 off the 3m. What do you guys think?
