Clearcoat peeling off wheel

While washing and waxing my G yesterday I noticed that one of the rear wheels has the clearcoat completely peeling off. Yes it had been slightly curbed (only at the edge) but the curb rash was no where near where it is peeling. Anyone else having issues with the clearcoat on their wheels? If so, do you think this is covered under warranty? Seems like a defect to me!!

For the record I have the 18" sport wheels.

I have the 17"s and have no curb rash on any of them, but have several chips in the paint. I think the paint that is used is very cheap or thin. I plan on getting new rims anyway and using these for the winter, so I'm not overly concerned. I'm not sure if the dealer will cover this, but if they do I'll have to complain to them about the chips on my grille and front bumper!

It sounds like a defect to me...
I'd start by bringing it to your dealer's attention.

I had my 18" stock on for over a year with no problems just took them off a month ago for my MRR.
Cleaned them before storing them and they looked as good as new with no peeling rashes or scratches. A+

+1, I have a couple of chips too - bought the tire / wheel warranty, maybe I'll test it out
