Guys we are just catching up to the rest of the world. When I lived in Italy in the early 90's it was like $4 a LITER. Luckily because we were military we got gas coupons on base for a lot cheaper. So over there people must think we are a bunch of whiney bastards for bitchin about $4/gal.

Gasoline is Gasoline (additives make the difference if you believe they matter)
otherwise it is exactly the same.
Gas will continue to rise as the weakening dollar is cause oil prices to skyrocket. We are now paying for when the oil was ~ 100-110/bbl. I saw it at 119 the other day and if this continues, gas will also rise.

I go to Portugal most every summer for vacation and the gas prices there are $8.099 per gallon. We have it made here compared to Europe!
