Air Filiter Replacement Question

Hi all. I want to change the air filter(s). What after market air filter is good, cheap, and free flowing? Purlator? Thanks in advance.

By the way I took out the air filter(s) for fun and to check them out. I was surprised it was made of cheapy paper and looks very restrictive. Toyota filter seems to be good, material is 'similar' to attic insulation, seems free flowing and protective. In my opinion K&N is not good, it has air gaps and microscopic things will go into the engine.

Air Filters

Warning,

I have been looking for air filters for my 2007 G35 and all the databases and catalogs refer to the filter for the 2006 G35 sedan. Walmart, Napa, and Valvoline have the wrong information. The one that is listed is a larger single element, while the one on the 2007 car is a double element.

The Amsoil air filters seem to be a good compromise between filtration and air flow, but I wouldn't expect any miracles. You can't have both.
