Just dropped my car off

Dropped it off this morning at 8am for the 15,000 mile service. I am going to be charged $235.00. This is after giving them a coupon for a $33.95 semi-synthetic oil change, 10% discount coupon, and opting out of buying wipers from them.....I'm not filling up the loaner with any gas, and I made sure I did a burnout already in the loaner

Don't they do a cabin air filter change on the 15K too? I really am trying not to spend the cash on my 15K, but am just not sure about doing the cabin filter swap myself.

Just so you know, cabin filter swap is easy - took me about 30 minutes, and I was taking my time. There are DIYs on the forum too.

+1, although be careful when you yank out the whole housing, because I broke one of the plastic fastening tabs.

Speaking of pointless posts, can someone tell me if I get a loaner for getting an oil change? The last three times I went in, I had them work on a few extra warranty issues (including TSBs), so I always got a loaner. I didn't want to start a new thread because it's a stupid question.

Yes you will get a loaner, however your oil change will cost $80.
I get a pretty good detail job at the dealer so I don't mind paying.

I just did a 30k tune-up which was an oil change (~$30 at local shop), engine filters ($20; DIY labor - 2 min tops), and cabin filter ($25; DIY labor - 40min - It was pretty straightforward and the instructions found on this forum are pretty much spot on, but I had some trouble bolting the glove box bracket back on w/o stripping anything (There are 6 or 7 bolts and not all of them initally wanted to go back on smoothly). After much trial and error, I managed to put everything back together w/o stripping or breaking anything. )

Dang that's rip. BTW at 15K you should switched to FULL synthetic like mobil 1 ep or Amsoil. Be a man do it yourself man! I spend $37 for oil change for my G, mobil 1 ep 5qt bottle and mobil 1 ep oil filter from walmart. HUGE thanks to this site for all the insights and help!!! IMO This car is designed for easy maintaince, drain bolts and part locations are user friendly unlike stupid toyotas. Im sure changing tranmission and differential fluids shouldn't be too bad, which i plan to do myself.
