All speculation still...Until Infiniti comes out with an announcement on the 2009 car for NA, who knows what's reality. They don't want to be left holding the bag on inventory that they essentially have to "clearance" until on hand stock is depleted...

Exactly.

The car is already good as-is. Infiniti will always be making changes and tweaks each model year. Can't be upset over that, it always happens.

Where did you get that the VQ37VHR has direct injection? Is Nissan adding DI for '09 European models?

I aint mad, hopefully the 2010 model will be closer to the European model, then will just move to that model. As someone said, let the europeans and the G37 coupe drivers be guinea pigs, when the new engine comes to the sedan in NA, it will already be tried and tested. At which stage I shall be known as 330HP

That was a typo, I was hungover while I typed that (long Memorial Day weekend...). I don't think the 3.7L can even support DI due to its advanced variable valve timing system. I doubt the heads are big enough.

But thanks for correcting me.

I need a few more years perfecting my driving technique with my current 306HP and 5 cogs in the mission G35s. Then I can consider the infiniti in 2011with more HP and more gears, and may be two less doors, as one child heads for college then.

That would be Japan...although they do have a superior 3G network over across the pond.

Sources say it'll be a R38T and a R50 so we'll see.
