Hey, I kinda knew the story, but I never did hear your thoughts on the 550. I forgot to ask you about it. Well, I think you got the best deal. I actually drove my grandma's G8 last night. The V6 ran good, but just not quite enough power for me. The ride and handeling were AWESOME... I was really impressed. I found it more fun to drive then my TL, but just not quite the G. If it had the 6.0lt V8 it would no doubt be more fun that the G.

Good luck with your new ride. I am sure its nice.

it's a good motor in a crappy container. and for what it's worth, the g is just a compromise car.

bmw's gearboxes, though widely famed for being omfg awesome, just don't seem that special. great, they shift smoothly. that's leverage... the throws are freakishly long.

O_o... uh, god no. for some reason mercedes seriously cut back on their interior materials this latest gen. it's too bad, too. the current gen models are actually the best they've designed.

hokie: germans are a major letdown for the money. that's really the big problem. you get in, drive it, and end up thinking "wait, that's it? where's the rest of my money going?" there shouldn't be a premium based solely on where the car comes from...unless they actually back up those prices with substance

So hows the performance in the new V8 Pathfinder? I imagine they would be pretty quick.

You missed 2 mortgages and you were/are looking at a bmw 550? I might be jumping the gun, but where did you learn your money management at?
