When you are in "DS" from a stop, doesnt the car start off in 2nd gear?

I just took my 08 g35 sedan to the track and ran 13.7 @ 101 with a 2.100 60 foot. Thats at about 100 feet elevation in manual shifting mode. I found out that at the very end of the track the car shifts into 4th if you keep it in auto but if you switch to manual and keep it in 3rd you get a better time. I have no doubt that one more time at the track I would get a 13.6.

Yea one in manual, one in ds and one in regular. The one is manual was my best. When i get around to it all scan the time slips. Also its with 22 psi in stock tires.

As of now, I agree. But with further NA modifications, including sticky tires, I think 12's can be possible.

Trey managed 13.2 @ 104 with full bolt-ons (stock engine internals), a tune, and sticky tires. Ofcourse, im sure he'll let you know it was nothing easy. Great driving & better conditions are key.

The VQ35HR has more potential. So, I feel high 12's might be possible with full bolt-ons, a tune, sticky, tires, excellent driver & conditions.

In other words, everything has to be perfect.

Yea 2 13.8's and 2 13.7's. Best sixty foot was 2.08 but that was in regular. I basically held the revs around 2k. I didnt lose any grip so I probably could have started around 2300-2500 at the start and a good run would have been probably a 13.6 w/ a 2.0 and maybe a 13.5. The temp was around 80.

Fair enough, I'm looking forward to being proven wrong - it's a win/win
