I was looking around eBay and came across this '08 for sale with the title NO RESERVE JOURNEY NAV 4DR 306HP 10WNER CLEAN CARFAX.

Scrolling through the pictures, I came across the picture of the center stack and noticed the buttons under the LCD do not look like those on my car that has NAV installed. So I emailed the seller and asked if perhaps he was mistaken in the listing. The reply I got was a little terse "the car does have nav!".

So what do you think? Maybe a Garmin tucked away in the glove box?

you can tell he doesnt have nav. i think you got the backup cam with the nav package in 08 and his doesnt have one either.

 

he does not have navi, if he's made a mistake cool(maybe he thinks that if u have a screen you have navi), otherwise its not right to trick someone into buying his car by saying it has navigation system, ill drop him a little fyi...

 

whats the Nav center console look like anyways? from the photos his looks like my nav-less car.

i notice on the steering wheel it doesnt have bluetooth?

I was looking at ebay earlier today and noticed this too. My car has Nav and it looks just like MSP G35X pictures

 

I went and looked at this page and the seller is obviously greatly mistaken. This model is NOT a sport.. it doesn't even have premium package in it! and he is selling it for 27K+, what a rip-off.

 

Also check his feedback he tried the same trick on a g37 and then when the bid was too low he tried to raise the price so the buyer backed off and left a negative feedback, in that case he also mentioned a navigation system while it did not have it, BUYERS BEWARE!!

 

I sent the seller an email telling him that the G DOES NOT have Navi and that the car is being completely mirespresented in the auction.

 

You should of sent that email BCC to ebay. Just in case somebody falls for it. Ebay would be aware of it.

The add even says the car has Chrome wheels. Boy are they confused. I can understand how someone unfamiliar with this car could assume that if it has a big LCD screen that it must have a Nav sys but you can LOOK at the wheels and tell they are not chrome.
PS - I like how the pictures where taken in 2003. lol.

Edit: I sent him these questions:
Does it have some kind of aftermarket Nav because it does not have the instrument control panel of an Infiniti factory navigation system? 07-08 G35 don't have chrome wheels they are painted. Is their another set, of chrome wheels, included that are not in the pictures? If so, what size are they?

I'll let you know if I get a response.

 

Not to mention the fact the add says it has heated seats, and it does not. No premium package. No premium package also means no Navi package. I wonder what else he's lying about.
