Topless/top-down visibility FTW... no blind spots whatsoever.

Wind noise isn't the issue as much as resonance/drone. The hardtop magnifies everything, and having zero sound deadening materiel in the car doesn't help I have a VERY loud drone at 75mph on the freeway in 6th (4k rpm),so I always find myself going 80+ or under 70... Earplugs eliminate the drone completely.

I don't notice any overbearing wind noise in my 08 G35x (I've had it for 3.5 weeks). It's definitely quieter than my 03 G35 was on the highway and I drive 60 miles each day to/from work with all but a few miles being on the highway.

I don't have wind noise until the car reached 17k miles.
I have been sitting in IS250 for a while and it is damn quiet. I don't know about IS350 but it should be the same right? I don't care about the drone sound or tire sound. The wind noise is more noticeable than those noises.
Does anyone know for sure IS350 also have wind noise problem like G35 ?

I'm not saying it's not true but can somebody explain to me what could change on a car after 17k miles to make wind noise more noticeable? I just don't get it.

I love my 07X,,,,,,,,, still, it will be 2 years of ownership this December. No windnoise problems. My only complaint was the pitting grill and they replaced it.

Yes.

I can still hear voices and radio quite well (although slightly muted).

When I have earplugs on, I actually find that my radio volume setting is MUCH lower than without earplugs. (~15 vs 25+)

If you think that is bad, then you should hear the wind noise in our 04 Forester XT. It has frameless windows and even at 30mph it is very noticeable. On the highway you have to speak louder and turn up the radio to mask it. My husband gets in my 05 G and he loves how quiet it is on the highway

08 G35X, 4100 miles and quietest car I have ever owned (Wind wise. Love the sound of the engine!). No wind noise.

wait...

OP had people in the backseat... adults.
And they complained of the wind noise, so he is embarrased and
wants to sell the car.

For an IS350?

You think you got laughed at for noise?
Wait 'till you try to cram adults into the back of the IS!

Enjoy your Lexus.

C'mon, this isn't some 50k+ dollar luxury car. If you want quiet cars, go buy a quiet luxury car. The G is supposed to be sporty and sound deadening only adds weight.

Plus, why wouldn't you want to listen to the beatiful sound of the engine.

I don't have any problems, but then only 3k miles. But I did take it through a touchless car wash tonight for the first time (buddy gave me a few free washes). I'd have to say I was astounded at the pressure of the jets, it wouldn't surprise me if this would compromise the seals around the windows?
Just a hunch really, I don't know that I will be making a habit of using auto car washes.
