The numbers are great! I'm just suprised that the only cosmetic change was the wheels. They should have added a unique bumper at least!!

Sacch, if I'm not mistaken, I think there's a SLIGHT change to the side mirrors, but still I agree, nothing that I know of was changed to the bodyOriginally Posted by Sacch

I remember when the denial was strong for the G35 folks who said the G37 wouldn't be that much faster. Its waaay faster now...right in-line with the 335i and IS350. GREAT job Infiniti. The new 370Z will be crazy fast being 3100 lbs with the same powertrain

It's going to take more than 350hp to get that sled coupe to run with the G37 sedan.Originally Posted by Klubbheads

It's interesting that the new 7AT version of the sedan is this much quicker than the 6MT version. The numbers don't lie - it's easy to see with the gearing how that was achieved, but it seems odd that there would be such a disparity between the 6MT and the 7AT. I would still get the 6MT for myself, but the 7AT folks will have the bragging rights. Even moreso with the coupe that is 50 lbs heavier (http://www.nissannews.com/assets/spe...upe_Specs.pdf).

The G is a great car but for me is not a sport car. 0-60, 1/4 miles # mean nothing in the real word.
What I'd like to see in the near future is a DSG gearbox.
But in all honesty after driving stick most of my life I still can't get used to the paddle shifters and rarely ever used them. Not the same as a clutch and rowing your own gears.

only to a bench racer. In the real world .2-.3 seconds is a fender or a half a door length with completely evenly matched drivers.Originally Posted by EZZ

The 7AT times are certainly impressive though. The 6MT owners are going to have to WORK to get those times.

As speeds increase the distance is multiplied by how many cl each point of a second is. If one car traps 102 and the other traps 105 and the difference is 0.3 seconds that is a pretty big gap when crossing the 1/4 mile.Registered User

That's if the traps are that far apart. The previous article of the 6MTs had the G35 and the G37 6MT's trapping both at 104. Originally Posted by Klubbheads

Now comparing the 5AT G35 to the 7AT G37, There's where you'd probably see a significant difference. What do 5AT's typically trap?
