+1

Over glossy wood can look fake, the Satin finish brings the wood grain and texture out more.

One of the other cars I came close to buying was the IS350. Lexus uses a real bird's eye maple, but it looks and feels like plastic due to the amount of gloss.
As for aftermarkets, everything my dealer offered just sat on top of the Washi and the washi could be seen in some areas.... poor fit and finish.

I like my wood trim to be like wood, not plastic.

I know this is a personal preference, but I like it just the way it is.

I got the aftermarket wood trim and agree re. poor fit and finish (over washi) and glossy fake plasticy look. It does warm up the interior, and I am sort of used to it now - but given a choice again would definitely go for the factory wood trim.

Good afternoon Mike.... what you offer goes on top of the current Washi Trim or does one remove the Washi Trim and add a whole new piece in wood trim? I have checked with my local dealer and they referred me to an outside vendor they deal with, but come to my surprise its just a stick on item with a 3M backing, so in my opinion it will not have that flush (original look) fit...

Do you have pics of what you have to offer and at what price?

Thanks for your time on this...

Eddie

what we offer REPLACES the washi; the aluminum is removed.

The wood is professionally installed, and takes about 4hours to do. Are you local to us?

Hi Mike thanks for the quick reply.... dammm I'm in S.FL it will be a long drive to get to Cali...hahahaha...

The wood trim that you are offering is what I am looking for, complete replacement.... You wouldn't happen to know of any dealership or shops in S.FL that does what you guys do up in Cali?

PS... how much is the total cost for this wood trim?

Including install, I believe the cost runs from 1500 and up, depending on the wood you select.

I have a few pictures on my phone I can send you if you want to see it installed on a car. PM me a number.

I like that this is not a cheap plastic overlay, but $1500+?!?
The wood option from Infiniti, factory installed, is $400.

I'm sure it's nice, but wow.... $1500.....

Yeah.. it's expensive.

Keep in mind the cost from the factory also factors in the cost of the Washi; if you have to order replacement washi, that's expensive too...

It's similar to how the wheel/tire upgrade is 400, but if you order them separately....

First 3 pics are overexposed to show the texture and quality of the wood.

last pic is much closer to the ACTUAL color of the wood; it is very dark, but I'd rock it, and I'm not much of a wood guy.

Holy **** Mike@Riverside... that wood that you posted looks amazing. I prefer that over the wood that's offered from the factory. What kind of wood is it? It looks soooo nice!
