Question regarding I-Key and Igntion.
No, the car will continue to run. BUT, this isnt really a bad thing. You can still lock the doors when you leave the car this way (but you will have to actually press the lock button on the keyfob). You can leave the car running when you run to get a pack of gum or cigarettes, and not worry about it getting stolen b/c it was left running with the door unlocked and the key in the ignition. Just make sure you lock it, and all will be fine. Additionally, you can walk up to your running and locked car, press the door handle button and get right back in the toasty interior. Especially useful if you are in a cold climate area.
I was accually wonder the same thing. I start the car every morning turn the heat and seats on and go back in the house and get ready to leave for work. I have not tried to lock the car yet( We live in a nice area) Not really a good thing to leave it unlocked anyway, but who the hell is up at 645am stealing cars?? LOL. I do love how fast the car warms up. 10 mins in the house and trhe car is very toasty.. PS I will try the keyfob lock tommorow am..
Just be careful...if it gets shut off you obviously won't be able to start it again.
When I first got my car, my brother in law wanted to take it for a quick spin. He took it down the block, stopped to get something to drink. Problem was...I still had the key on me. Needless to say, I drove his car to go get him...

MMM that's weird I thought if the car went out of the transponders range( 25 ft or so) it would shut off. My friends 08 TL type S does that. OR so he says it does.. ?? I guess I will have to start locking the car in the morning.. LOL
