Tape On Front Bumper

I have a brand new G35, there is some tape on the front bumper (at the very bottom, near the ground and under the hood). This is supposed to be peeled off right??

I had the same thing on my 05G35X and it was the protective shipping tape that they forgot to peel off. I just peeled it off.

I thought that was a scratch guard that you are supposed to keep on...?
