I hoping they'll work out the same way they did with the 1st gen.
How low did the 350Z springs drop the 1st gen sedans? According to
Automobile magazine (Dec 08 pg 44) the G37x coupes and sedans still come with an extra 1/2 inch ride height. I still don't get why we x owners can't just switch to RWD Sport springs to drop that 1/2 inch, though from reading on these forums the S and xS springs are the same part # (?).

I'm leaning towards the Impuls with the Nismo A34 wheels with a fair amount of sidewall to fill up the gap while leaving enough room for winter driving. Hopefully the speedo won't be thrown off too much...

Good luck infinitidriver and let us know what you do/don't do!

Tell me.. how does a speedo get thrown off? what specific changes will cause this to happen?

I drive an 07 X and will be putting 08 m45 rims with 245/40/19 tires this spring. Will this throw it off? ( no spacers nor drop )

If you do not keep your rolling diameter the same on the tires, you will be either going faster or slower than the speed indicated on your speedometer. Did some research...so if you increase the rolling diameter of your tire from OEM, then you will actually be going FASTER than the speed indicated on your speedometer and vice versa (decreasing diameter=going SLOWER than speed indicated on speedometer).

so Wes, w/ the combo above you will be going 0.1% slower (if the speedometer reads 60mph, you will actually be going 59.9mph)

So how does one know if the rolling diameter is different or not?

My stock tires/rims are 225/55/17 and I will be putting on 245/40/19's.

Does that match up? :S I have no idea...
