I am hoping to get some input from the group.

I am considering selling my 2007 G35S (automatic) with every option except the 4-wheel active steer. The car is platinum graphite, has approximately 17,000 miles, is in excellent condition, has no aftermarket upgrades, and is located in Wisconsin.

I have checked the value at both KBB and Edmunds. However, I would like to get your thoughts on what may be a reasonable/fair asking price should I attempt to sell it “private party.”

I appreciate all perspectives and comments.

Thanks.

My .02, take it for what it's worth...

Recently, in a large midwest city, a 2007 g35s 6spd w/nav 11k miles was adverstised for $27k, private party. It gathered little interest. A very happy individual ended up purchasing it for $23500.

Prices are unfairly depressed right now. Lack of buyers willing to spend any money and lack of banks eager to loan money at an attractive interest rate for a person to person transaction. Some of the typical lenders are only offering to finance used vehicles sold by a franchised dealership.

It's a bad time to sell anything. Not saying it's impossible to get top dollar, just that your market is reduced and many of those remaining are expecting a deal. If you can afford to be patient you'll eventually find a good buyer.

I bought my '07 G35SA, 22k miles, for $27.8 11 months ago. I figure that was 20% off a discounted price to an almost unchanged '08. Another year has passed, and the new model has meaningful improvements, so 30-40% seems like a reasonable range. The earlier seller mentioned that someone asked $27 and took $23.5. Start there, and if you need out, take the lesser amount.

Sorry not a big elp here just y .02. To sell a car within 2 years is always a hit to your pocket and if we put the new car price in play it will be even bigger hit. Not sure now but 2 months ago they were giving away the 08 with 4-5k off or around it.

Hope somebody will give you a closer estimate and good luck with you selling. Maybe be more reasonable to trade it in. Not sure.
