Sport Bumper With Oem Lip Help !! Please

Hello !!! Does anyone have the OEM G37 Sedan lip on ?
i hit a metal cart at work today and i put a huge hole under the fog light opening. i was planing on getting the lip anyway but now i have to worry about getting the bumper replaced. can someone please help me by measuring how much space there is between the end of the actual lip and where the "foglight" opening starts ? i tried eyeing it out by looking at pictures and my guess is about an inch. can someone please help ? my ding/hole is about 2 inches from the opening so hopefully i can hide it under the lip

thanks.

The lip is about 1 7/8" below the cover. It'll be close, but sounds like it'll work for you.

HERE ARE THE PICTURES. THE FIRST CUT/HOLE IS EXACTLY ONE INCH FROM THE START OF THE "FOG HOLE"

I am sure you will be fine. If you look at this pic of the Sport lip on the sedan, it should be covered.

I see...you meant an inch from the crease. It will definitely work. It only about a cm from the crease.

I agree, it should work OK.
The only thing I can see is if that's the spot where the d.sided tape sits.
& you may have to heat it up to reshape that spot so that the lip sits flush.

...no biggie, just a little extra install work.

whenever you put the lip on just take it to a body shop and let them mess around with it...like intgr8r said, im sure they can manipulate the tear so it doesn't look bad when the lip is put on...

ALRIGHT SO. to make a long story short....

the bumper that had the gashes on it was my second bumper. i replaced it a while back because my dealership drilled license plate holes... the cheap paint techniques used by the body shop that painted the bumper cause the paint to crack. making the bumper useless. LUCKILY i saved the bumper so i put it on .. went to home depot got some hole plugs and made custom license plate hole plugs.... put the lip on. everyone is happy enjoy

thanks for the replies.
