08 Bluetooth phone question

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding the bluetooth phone.
Is voice command the only way to dail a call? or is there some sort of on-board buttom that i can click and dial? coz i find using voice to dial way too slow.

I have seen it in a online magazine that they somehow got the number pad on the screen and they just dial using the controller. Can anyone tell me how?

Can't do it while driving, but you'd just hit "Phone" (or the phone symbol on your steering wheel) and "Keypad" to dail a number.

If you upload your contacts into the car (via Bluetooth), you can assign voice commands (preferribly the contact's name) and just say their name and the car will call them.

Having contacts in your car's phonebook will also allow you to hit the little phone button on your steering wheel and you can go to your call log and contacts list from there to select someone to call. Note you can't scroll down though when the car is moving, which is an inconvinience.

how do i upload the contacts in my phonebook to the car? I already have my phone connected via bluetooth with the car.

Currently i thought i had to enter every number manually to save. I have 08 with nav and prem. package.

No you don't have to. How you transfer phonebooks depends on what phone you have.

What kinda phone do you have? I only know how to do it on a Blackberry since I know the exact menus to go through to transfer contacts via Bluetooth.

I have first generation lg chocolate phone from verizon. I probably dont have the feature you are referring to in my phone. Would you know which other phone from verizon wireless is capable of doing this? What kind of specification should i be looking for?

My contract has expired already.
