Finally, the long-awaited pictures of my new G37S sedan. After 150 miles, I'm getting 20.2 MPG, which of course I hope will get better. Many have asked what the engine RPM's are on the highway. The new 7th gear overdrive really helps the engine revs, which I always thought were a problem on the G35's that I test drove.

50 MPH: 1600 RPM
55 MPH: 1800 RPM
60 MPH: 2000 RPM
65 MPH: 2150 RPM
70 MPH: 2300 RPM
75 MPH: 2450 RPM
80 MPH: 2600 RPM

Conditions have not been right to go over 80 MPH so we will stop the chart here.

Something nobody has mentioned about the car, but I will: When you turn up the new rotary seat heating dials, a little yellow indicator light gets brighter as you turn the temperature up. Cute!

Now, on with the pictures...you will notice that I have the rear lip spoiler. To tell you the truth, I had no idea which spoiler was coming, but this is the spoiler I wanted, so it's all good. As far as I know, this is the only G37S sedan on the road in Atlanta.

I'm getting a partial clear bra on Monday and will probably tint the windows eventually. Other than that, no mods are planned.

 

Congrats. Yeah. I thought the same in that the G35 auto really could use a real overdrive gear to help with freeway travel. 2600rpm at 80mph is more like it and not 3100.

Congrats on joining the 09 crew. You should def take off the dealer graphic on the back; I've never understood why luxury dealers would put those things on there anyway. A license plate frame should be the most they do, and even that is a bit tacky.

 

^^I asked that they not put one on the car when they delivered it, but of course it came with one anyway. The clear bra is being installed as we speak, and the installer said that he would take it off for me. It should be gone the next time I take pictures of the car!
