Exclamation Just got my RECALL letter

Hey guys, I just got my recall letter from Infiniti and it has to do with the passenger air-bag. It even had my VIN number and said mine might have that defect. I have noticed it when my girl is in and out of my car. At times its off even when she's sitting down. It's really weird and unsafe.
I'll take it to the dealer soon.

Anyone else get this recall letter?

I haven't gotten that recall letter.. But I have noticed that its off in my car sometimes when I have a passenger in my car.. I wondered if it was a defect or not.. I haven't worried about it tho. Maybe i'll be getting a letter in the mail as well.. I have an 07 if it matters

I have that problem as well but mines an 06 coupe. My girls sitting on the passenger sit and the light is on for airbag is off. She has to move around in the seat until the light goes off.

I think I saw a post about this on Autoblog. I called the Inifiniti recall center and they said just to wait to see if I get a letter so I guess they're starting to go out.

I got mine in early november. Brought the car in for an un related service and the service guy mentioned they were gonna check the sensor. He said my sensor was fine.

Received the letter almost a month ago and already had it fixed while it was in for an oil change.

Took mine in cause i experienced it and not the letter.
Dealer said my manufacture date model was not effected and no "codes" were present, so they didnt fix.

have the same issue and dealer said everything was fine.

I just hope if im ever involved in a wreck and my wife is sitting next to me that the front airbag deploys. If not then Infiniti will be hearing from my lawyers. They should be taking this issue real serious but seems like they arent. They've had this issue for months and needs to be resolved pronto.

On the way home from the dealer with my new '08 last week I noticed the light was on. My passenger was slightly leaned towards me. After he sat upright, it went off several seconds later. Haven't noticed it since.

Unrelated, my headlights started cycling on and off in few-second intervals about 30 minutes before dusk the other day. Knowing that's bad for HIDs, I turned them off until I got home. Hasn't done that since, either.

I got my recall letter today as well...but had already been in and had them check it. I'm going to demand they replace the sensor as living in LA, I'm not taking any chances in case of an accident.

you know I just noticed the other day that mine wasn't on when the girlfriend was in the passenger seat. After that I started thinking and couldn't remember seeing it lit up once. I'm gonna have to remember to ask them about this when i go in for my next service
