Distortion in Driver's outside mirror
Distortion in Driver's outside mirror
I was looking today and it seems like the driver's side outside mirror is not flat. It looks to me like it is flat in the middle and has curves around the edges, including the top.
Is it supposed to be flat (as in most cars), or is it intended to improve visibility and eliminate blind spots?

From what I know, outside the US, esp Euro spec Models the mirrors bend outward after a certain point to help visibility. I know people in the Audi Forums getting Euro mirrors because they do that, Maybe it's supposed to be like that?
I just notice some curve on the top and bottom edge also... seems strange. Is yours perfectly flat? I'll have to ask the dealer next time I'm in.
I know this is an old thread but I just bought my 2008 G35x and noticed the exact same thing and thought maybe something was wrong. The driver side view mirror is definitely not flat compared to the passenger side... I'm glad this isn't just my G
Never ever noticed it in 5 years but now that i have read this thread im afraid to look into the mirror next time i drive and find out that the mirror is actually curved a little which all of a sudden starts to bother me after 5 years!
