Have You Named Your Infiniti G?
Has anyone besides us named their Infiniti G?
We have always named our cars, and our family refers to them by name. “Let’s take Rocky!” or “Let’s take Max!” for example. This time we wanted a name beginning with either “I” or “G”.
Because our G37x has had a bit of a rough beginning on the road of life, we’ve dubbed him, “Gideon.” Why? The biblical Gideon was found hiding in a winepress when the Lord called him by his true name—Gideon—which means, “Mighty Warrior.” Far from convinced, it took Gideon a while to catch up to the accuracy and fact of it. But he did. . .and he was. (Judges 6,7,8)
Our platinum graphite Gideon is, we believe, a mighty road warrior. But, as elaborated on another thread, we’re working on convincing him a bit. We know we’re right; he’s just taking a little while to catch up.
Anyone else?

Well my friend aptly named my old '98 Volvo S70 the silver sperm whale. Perhaps relating to its size and how it just floats around and couldn't make any quick movements....
Yet to name the G - I think a religious fanatic should adopt G-Zus tho.
It's easy enough to refer to it as the G. "Hey, let's take the G out tonight" so I like that for now.

I've always been a fan of car names that are earned instead of contrived. That said, we do call my wife's '05 Honda Pilot "Pontius". Thought the OP might like that since he also used a biblical theme.
None of the cars I've bought new have ever gotten a name that actually stuck. It was my old beaters that were called by name:
"Land Fish" - '71 Mach 1 Mustang
"Badger" - Brown '78 Datsun B-210
"Ninja" - Black '84 Nissan 200SX Turbo
"Wookie" - '87 Chrysler Conquest TSi (This was named by a buddy when the power steering pump started going out. I swear it sounded like Chewbacca was pissed off and hiding under the hood every time I'd take a low-speed turn).
Good times man, good times. New cars just don't have the character of a good'ole POS. Unfortunately, unlike college, I HAVE to get to work each day.

my garnet ember 07 G35 is Scarlett. i named her even before i picked her up. it had to be a girl, plus she's red, and i love that name, so she's referred to as scarlett by everyone that knows me well enough to know what i drive.
my previous car was an 03 ford focus 2dr hatchback. it was named "The Bike." simply because it wasn't enough 'car' to be called a car, so it was the bike. end of story.

Actually I have, I refer to it as the "The crack mobile." Due to the wonderful crack noises it makes from the controller and the washi on the center console. ![Frown](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Sorry I know this is not what you guys were looking for. But If my wife was here she could verify this pet name.![Icon11](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/icon11.gif)
I have a love/hate relationship with that car and my wife.
